El Vale is one of best birding areas in Panama.  For those lovers of nature and bird watching, there will be no disappointment.  You'll enjoy birds walking throughout the valley.   El Valle's forests offer excellent bird watching. Many beautiful birds constantly visit and some dwell in Park Eden's  vast gardens, a variety of humming-birds abound, you can observe the Little Hermit Hummingbird, Garden Emerald Hummingbird, Rufous- Tailed Hummingbird, Snowy- Bellied Hummingbird, Violet- Headed Hummingbird in the gardens of  Park Eden.

njoy an early morning of Birding on the trail that goes along the ridge of the protected area of Cerro Gaital Natural Monument, which is 3,300 ft. (900m) above sea level. Species that Birders will be looking for: : Scale-crested Pygmy Tyrant, White-ruffed Manakin, Blue-and-white Swallow, White-throated Thrush, Silver-throated Tanagers, Orange-bellied Trogon, Plain Antvireo, Purplish-backed Quail-Dove, White-tipped Sicklebill, Slaty Antwren, Black-headed Antthrush, Common Bush-Tanager, Black-faced Grosbeak, various hummingbirds such as Green Hermit, Violet-headed Hummingbird, White-tailed Emerald.
